Holovast selects Pittsburgh as the launch city for its US expansion
Holovast has selected Pittsburgh as its US expansion city following the September 2026 Greater Pittsburgh Robotics & AI Experience, an Innovate UK-supported visit spanning Mill 19, the National Robotics Engineering Center, Discovery Day and the AI Horizons Summit.
Pittsburgh, USA - September 2026: HOLOVAST Ltd has found the right home for its US expansion: Pittsburgh.
The city has built a clear identity around robotics, physical AI and advanced manufacturing, and it sells that story to the world with real intensity. Founder Johnson Oluwadele saw that intent up close in conversation with Mayor Corey O'Connor: energy, curiosity and determination to build the city's next chapter. And he felt it in how the city works. Steven Wray, Pittsburgh's Director of Economic Development, introduced him to the Mayor, and his first question was how the city could help.
That is how a city wins companies.
Holovast thanks Kelly Loebig, Tahmina Ahmed and the Pittsburgh Regional Alliance team for the invitation to the invitation-only Greater Pittsburgh Robotics & AI Experience and for building such a thoughtful programme around it.
This was Holovast's fourth Innovate UK-supported visit to North America, and the purpose goes beyond expansion. Holovast goes to strengthen product-market fit.
The R&D foundation Holovast commercialises (ARVAST) was developed with industry partners. Holovast follows the same discipline: shaped by the factory floor, not imagined for it.
Across Carnegie Mellon University's Manufacturing Futures Institute at Mill 19, the National Robotics Engineering Center, Pittsburgh Robotics & AI Discovery Day and the AI Horizons Pittsburgh Summit, Holovast sat with manufacturers, researchers and founders, testing one practical question: what must manufacturers be able to trust, measure and prove before AI can guide critical work on the factory floor?
